Dr. Michelle Gannon is a San Francisco Clinical Psychologist who has been an Individual and Couples Therapist in San Francisco Private Practice for over 25 years.
Michelle Gannon, Ph.D. helps individuals and couples with anxiety, low self esteem, depression, life transitions, dating, intimacy, building more secure attachments and relationships, marriage, pregnancy, fertility challenges, transition to parenthood, career changes, parenting issues, separation, divorce, grief and loss.
Michelle’s clients describe her as an attachment-focused, relational, warm, active, attuned, empathic and optimistic therapist. She cares deeply and helps her clients explore and express their feelings, increase understanding of themselves and others, heal from painful experiences and make positive, proactive changes in their lives.
In addition to her San Francisco Therapy Practice, Michelle was a Workshop Leader for 20 years and co-led over 300 workshops and trainings in San Francisco, Marin, Esalen Institute, Big Sur and Internationally. Michelle was the Co-Founder/Workshop Leader of Marriage Prep 101- a workshop for dating, engaged and newlywed couples. Michelle also co-led the Hold Me Tight® Workshop for Couples and Rising Strong™ Workshop. Michelle enjoyed teaching about Attachment Theory, Forgiveness and Attunement.
After 20 years of being a Workshop Leader, Michelle has chosen to focus now only on her therapy practice.
Dr Gannon received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology and did her Ph.D. dissertation research on psychotherapy outcome at Stanford University. She earned her Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto, Canada.
